Statutory Testing, Inspection & Grid Commissioning
Before any high-voltage electrical installation is energized, comprehensive testing and statutory regulatory approvals are mandatory. SSB Engineering Services provides full end-to-end electrical testing, protection relay calibration, thermographic inspection, and Chief Electrical Inspector to Government (CEIG) clearance.
Testing & Commissioning Scope
- 1. Relay Calibration: Primary and secondary current injection testing for directional, overcurrent, earth fault, and differential relays.
- 2. Earth Pit Resistance: Fall-of-potential testing per IS 3043 / IEEE 81 ensuring total earth grid resistance remains ≤ 1Ω.
- 3. Infrared Thermography: Non-destructive thermal imaging of switchboards, transformers, and busducts to detect loose terminations.
- 4. Regulatory CEIG Approvals: Complete preparation of drawings, test reports, and liaison for statutory government safety clearance.
