Technical Methodology

  • 1. Civil & Foundation Engineering: Transformer plinth design, cable trenching, and oil soak pit excavation adhering to IS standards.
  • 2. Switchyard Erection: Assembly of SF6 breakers, vacuum circuit breakers (VCBs), CT/PT metering cubicles, and isolators.
  • 3. Earthing & Lightning Protection: Deep bore earthing pits with copper-bonded earth rods and earth mat grid installation (IEEE 80 / IS 3043).
  • 4. Testing & Commissioning: Relay secondary injection testing, tan-delta testing, Megger insulation resistance, and grid synchronization.

Applicable Compliance Standards

IEC 62271-200 (HV Switchgear) IEC 61439 (LV Distribution) IEEE 80 (Substation Earthing) IS 3043 (Earthing Code) CEA Safety Regulations 2023

All high-voltage switchyard equipment undergoes rigorous Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) before energization. We coordinate directly with state electrical inspectorates to secure mandatory statutory clearances.
